My Health Tracker is built with privacy by design. We believe your health data is yours and should remain under your complete control. This privacy policy explains how we handle your information in our mobile application.

Data Collection and Storage

What We Don't Collect

  • Personal identifying information (name, email, phone number)
  • User accounts or login credentials
  • Your health entries to our own external servers (by default)
  • Directly identifying profile data tied to an in-app account

Local Data Storage

All your health data is stored locally on your device using encrypted SQLite databases. This includes:

  • Weight measurements and notes
  • Blood glucose readings and related information
  • Blood pressure measurements
  • Medication information and schedules
  • A1C values and dates
  • Waist measurements
  • App settings and preferences

Data Security

Your health data is protected through multiple layers of security:

  • Local Encryption: All health data is encrypted at rest using industry-standard encryption methods
  • Optional PIN Protection: You can set up a PIN code to prevent unauthorized access to the app
  • Biometric Security: Support for fingerprint and Face ID authentication where available
  • Health Data Stays Local by Default: Your health entries are stored on-device and are not uploaded to our own servers unless you explicitly export/share data
  • Encrypted Network Traffic: Third-party SDK communications (such as Firebase and ads services) are transmitted over secure HTTPS/TLS connections

Data Control and Export

You maintain complete control over your health data:

  • Export: Generate PDF reports or export data in CSV format at any time
  • Backup: Create local backups of your data for device transfers
  • Deletion: Permanently delete all data with a single action in the app settings
  • Sharing: Share specific reports with healthcare providers only when you choose to

Third-Party Services

My Health Tracker uses limited third-party services for notifications and advertising. These services may process certain technical identifiers and app interaction signals under their own privacy terms.

  • Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM): Used to deliver push notifications and reminder-related messaging. This can involve device/app instance identifiers.
  • Google Mobile Ads: Used to display ads in the app. This can involve advertising identifiers, device or other IDs, and ad interaction data for ad serving and fraud prevention.
  • Health Data Scope: We do not send your logged health entries (such as glucose, BP, A1C, weight, medications) to these services as part of normal app use.
  • Provider Policies: Third-party providers process data according to their own privacy policies and terms.

You can manage notification permissions and ad preferences through your device settings where supported.

App Permissions

The app may request the following permissions for functionality:

  • Storage: To save your health data locally on your device
  • Camera (Optional): To take photos of medications for easy identification
  • Notifications: To send medication reminders and health tracking prompts
  • Biometric: To enable fingerprint or Face ID authentication if you choose

All permissions are optional and can be managed through your device's settings.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy to reflect changes in our practices or for legal compliance. Any changes will be communicated through app updates, and we will always maintain our commitment to local-only data storage and user privacy.
